bike review Special Makeup Effects Stage Screen
i just got this in the mail as a belated christmas gift yesterday and was amazed at how comprehensive it is. i've always been interested in learning how to do this kind of work ever since i was a boy and received a copy of Boy's Life Magazine with Rick Baker on the cover. Plus my parents used to sit me down in front of those "movie magic" shows. when i was in high school the closest i ever got was making a plaster cast of my face and never did anything with it because i didn't know what to do after that! now, as i find myself 20 years older and living in the digital age, with everything at my fingertips i can now give this childhood dream a proper chance.
by the way, there's mention in the synopsis of this edition containing a supplemental dvd. my book didn't come with a dvd and there wasn't anything in the box. if there is a dvd that is supposed to accompany the book, i would really like to have it.
either way, i haven't tried anything from this book yet but i plan on it very very soon. from what i saw the book is very comprehensive and contains many photos, techniques and tips in order to do just about anything you could possibly want to do. with enough imagination and ingenuity the sky is the limit!
I am 19 and am in a theatrical performance in which i am required to play a 61 year old. I have heard that you can buy silicone glue type stuff to create wrinkles - but i have no idea where to start. Any help would be appreciated.
BalasHapusIm looking at making my friend go from young to old for a little project where working on im just wondering what type of make up i can use to do so and what steps i would need to take to use it?
BalasHapusSpecial effects makeup like making the ghouls in horror movies or like gashes and cuts and what not in movies. Is there good colleges in America for Special effect makeup? I know about the Douglas Education center in PA is there anymore good ones like that?
BalasHapusI am currently going to school for cosmetology and have been working on makeup as my specialty. I thought that going into the Hollywood world for makeup and or special effects makeup would be a dream job. Does anybody have any tips, experience or advice on how to prepare myself and or get my foot in the door?
BalasHapusDoing character's makeup, making masks, molds, and slime is a dream for me! However, I have no experience but my own Halloween makeup. Are there things I can do or be involved in over the summer or during the school year to help enhance my ambition?
BalasHapusor theatre/cinema makeup?? cuz stupid me, i thought cosmetology was only makeup so whenever I looked up cosmetology, they do not give those kind of lessons. If I look for schools or classes that does special effects makeup and stuff, what do i type or what do I call it? i typed in special effects makeup class and nothing specific came out. so what is it actually called?
BalasHapusIve been doing horror movie make up for awhile now (cuts, scratchs, gunshot wounds, etc) i get really creative with this stuff and really enjoy doing it. I even wear it to school! I would just like ideas on how i can become a movie makeup artist in general. I dont always just do the creepy stuff. Any ideas?
