Very hand for applying layers of makeup you do not want to mix together and helps makeup stand up to the occasional itch or rub. may in some instances (like the Mehron metallic powders) cause you makeup to lose a bit of it's shine so be careful or you could ruin hours worth of work with a couple of spritzes. I found a new use for this product recently. By using it before application of makeup I was able to do a full special effects makeup on a friend with sensitive skin and latex allergies. Approach doing something like this with caution though. We tested carefully before going ahead with facial makeup. I cannot stress how dangerous this can be if you do not test and verify first. However in this case I was able to make a zombie out of someone who had given up on ever getting to do something like that.

My husband, and I have used this spray for photo shoots, video shoots, Halloween and on stage. Plenty of things that include lots of makeup and sweat! It's always worked. I managed to get it in my eyes once... It stung like anything else and my eyes watered for a good hour, but all my makeup stayed put! (I'm not recommending you try this, just relaying it's effectiveness)
BalasHapusIt does smell funky, and gets sticky as it's drying, so it's not 'perfect' but it WORKS! I'd defintely recommend it to anyone who needs to keep makeup in place for a long period of time.
Product does seal in the makeup and keep it from running. Great during hot weather. Able to cover a scar on the foot and wear sandals without worry of makeup coming off. Would recommend.

BalasHapusThe Mehron Barrier Spray is a very good product that does exactly what it is designed for. It finishes off blemish/scar/tattoo coverage nicely and makes a very strong, waterproof barrier. A little goes a long way.
BalasHapusAs a costumer and makeup designer/artist I find the combination when used together frustrating and tedious. I finally tried this barrier spray. Actors don't love getting sprayed in the face, yet it works really well! No smudging on costumes, no glitter on the wrong part of the face or body. If you are using creme makeup, powder first, then spray. If using water based makeup, no powder is necessary. It does smell a bit to the person being sprayed, but not to the sprayer. It will sting the eyes until it dries, so this is my advise to each actor on whom I spray it. Take a breath, close your mouth and eyes. Within 10 seconds after getting sprayed, you can open your mouth and breath, but keep your eyes shut for another 25 seconds. No one has complained about it after that. Buy this!

BalasHapusI have use this product for the last month or so and I have to say it's better than Urban Decay De slick for make-up, I kow this is to set up party make-up but since I have tattoos I need to use this to set my concealer and the powder on my skin.
BalasHapusNow the only thing is this spray DOES make your skin feel stiff as if you are wearing hair spray on your face and I have oily skin, IT DOES make my make-up stay on... BUT do not spray to close to your face otherwise it will do just like hair spray, leaves water drips size of liquid on your face...
Over all I like it and I do wear it when I want my makeup (and small tattoos) being cover.
